Job summary
Wood is seeking an Offshore Lead Structural Engineer to support ADNOC Offshore projects in Abu Dhabi. You will provide specialist structural engineering expertise to ensure EPC contractor designs comply with project specs, codes, and ADNOC standards throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng / PE) is an advantage.
- 15+ years of experience in structural engineering.
- Minimum 8–10 years in offshore oil & gas projects.
- Proven PMC/consultant experience with EPC contractor oversight.
- Strong experience with ADNOC Offshore or Middle East offshore projects.
- Offshore structural design & review.
- Jackets, topsides, offshore modules.
- Knowledge of offshore installation methods.
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards and offshore HSE practices.
- Proficient in structural analysis software (SACS, STAAD, ANSYS, SESAM).
Responsibilities
- Review and approve structural design deliverables from EPC contractors.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC Engineering Standards and international codes.
- Perform independent checks on critical structural calculations.
- Review structural analyses (in-place, transportation, lifting, fatigue, seismic, blast, accidental loads).
- Provide technical input for constructability, operability, and maintainability.
- Act as PMC focal point for all structural engineering matters.
- Interface with client ADNOC Offshore, EPC contractors, and other disciplines.
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and design reviews.
- Support project phases FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation & Commissioning.
- Review vendor documents and lifting plans.
- Support site activities during fabrication and offshore installation.
- Ensure lessons learned are captured.

We are currently recruiting for PMC Offshore Lead Structural Engineer role to support our ADNOC Offshore project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at our client office with a possibility to move to offshore rotation in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
