Wood in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced PMC Engineering Manager Offshore (Gas Cap) with extensive FEED experience for high-profile Middle East projects. Lead all offshore disciplines, ensure deliverables meet standards, and drive project milestones.

You will provide technical leadership, manage schedule, budget and quality, mentor staff, and support readiness reviews across multinational teams in a dynamic energy sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Master's degree in management or equivalent.
• 20+ years in oil & gas with broad engineering, procurement and construction experience.
• At least 10 years as Engineering Manager on major oil & gas projects.
• Experience with global contractors and suppliers.
• Strong staff recruitment and development experience.
• Ability to make independent decisions and lead across disciplines.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards and engineering software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Lead offshore engineering disciplines: Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom.
• Ensure deliverables meet objectives, specs and company standards.

Job Objective

• Lead and manage all offshore engineering disciplines including Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecommunications.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet project objectives, specifications, and company standards.
• Provide technical leadership and resolve multidisciplinary engineering issues.
• Ensure engineering activities are executed within approved schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Monitor engineering progress and identify risks affecting project milestones.
• Support achievement of key project gates and readiness reviews.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant’s engineering activities and compliance with contract, project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best practices
• Manage technical aspects of Project Risk Management Plan
• Manage technical aspects of Management of Change Program
• Support the Project Quality Assurance Program
• Oversee the development of ADNOC engineering staff assigned to the Project, and mentor junior engineers
• Ensure technical requirements of the Brownfield scope are adequately defined and engineered
• Provide technical and administrative guidance to the PMT and Contractor’s engineering organizations
• Oversee design optimization and validation
• Sponsor layout, design, 3D Model, HAZID, and PHA reviews/workshops and ensure their completeness and quality
• Ensure appropriate engineering expertise and participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models
• Manage technical bid analysis activities
• Ensure appropriate technical involvement and analysis during vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Master’s degree in management or equivalent
• Minimum Twenty 20+ years’ experience within the oil & gas sector, with broad experience in all phases (i.e. engineering, procurement and construction) of major Oil & Gas capital projects and facilities design, with a minimum of 10 (ten) years as an Engineering Manager
• Experience with contractors and suppliers worldwide, in particular those involved in the construction of major oil and gas facilities
• Experience in the recruitment and development of technical staff
• Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems
• Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards
• Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills
