Job summary

Fairmont The Palm in Dubai is seeking a skilled Plumber to join the maintenance team. The role requires 2–3 years of relevant plumbing experience, with duties spanning preventive maintenance, water systems, and urgent repairs to ensure operational efficiency of plumbing systems.

Educated to at least a high school certificate with a plumbing diploma preferred. Strong reading of drawings, safe tool use, and ability to work independently or in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• High school certificate or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in plumbing preferred.
• Ability to read plumbing drawings and follow technical instructions.
• Proficient with plumbing tools and safe operation.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and safety requirements.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, proactive and able to work independently or in a team.
• Physically capable of prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting and working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Follow sign-in/out procedures for cards, keys, phones, ladders and equipment.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance in guest rooms, apartments and areas.
• Attend to plumbing requests promptly via RSM system.
• Inspect, maintain and repair water supply lines and drainage, sanitary fixtures, taps and water heaters.
• Record plant room readings and complete PPM checklists on schedule.
• Maintain sump pumps, booster pumps, and PRVs.
• Record monthly water meter readings and support conservation initiatives.
• Update maintenance records and complete PPM tasks in Side Kick.
• Report hazards and defective equipment; perform other duties as assigned.
