Job summary

Accor, Grand Mercure Dubai City, seeks a Plumber - Hotel Engineering Maintenance responsible for plumbing installation, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair in a five-star hotel environment. Based in Dubai, the role ensures reliable water systems and guest comfort.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, read drawings, and collaborate with other departments to minimize disruption and support sustainability and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on plumbing installation, maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply plumbing codes.
• Familiarity with PPR piping and hotel plumbing environments.
• Committed to safety, quality workmanship and bringing issues to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Execute plumbing installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair to hotel engineering standards.
• Inspect plumbing systems and identify faults affecting water supply, drainage, fixtures, piping, or related equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to established engineering schedules.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, layouts, and maintenance information relevant to assigned work.
• Respond promptly to leaks, blockages, defective fixtures, pipe failures, and related issues.
• Coordinate effectively with other maintenance disciplines when plumbing work is part of wider repairs.
• Support hotel water conservation objectives by identifying leaks and inefficient fixtures.
• Maintain plumbing tools and workshop equipment in safe condition and manage stock.
• Attend safety training and follow fire, hygiene and occupational health procedures.
