Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and set up plumbing and related fixtures and components.
- Repair piping of various sizes and types.
- Inspect safety equipment and replace components such as washers, gaskets, and filters.
- Inspect, repair, or replace pumps, valves, and boiler systems.
- Monitor work by outside specialists for adherence to Plumbing Code requirements and report back to the manager.
- Install supports and wall mounts for pipes, fixtures, and equipment.
- Construct and mount shutoffs and installations.
- Set up, repair, and maintain water treatment equipment, piping, and controls.
- Install, repair, and maintain hot water heaters and conditioners.
- Mount, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances, and trim.
- Test pipe systems and components for leaks.
- Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet applicable codes and environmental protection requirements.
- Maintain optimal service and repair records.
- Procure and stock tools, parts, and materials as needed.
- Respond to routine emergencies for repairs and service.
- Provide training and supervision to other classified personnel in the location as required.
- Support as a backup to other Facilities workers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (polytechnic/university preferred).
- 3–7 years of experience as a journey-level plumber/fitter in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations environment.
- Valid UAE driving license (required).
