Maze Guru is seeking a Platform & AI Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership across cloud infrastructure, AI systems, and engineering delivery. The role focuses on scalable platform design, architecture standards, and production-grade ML deployment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, AI/ML engineering, software engineering, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering/AI or related discipline preferred.
• Strong software engineering and system-design fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or equivalent.
• Practical knowledge of MLOps, model deployment, CI/CD, and security.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Platform & AI Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership across platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, AI systems, and engineering delivery. The ideal candidate combines strong architecture and engineering expertise with the ability to guide technical teams, establish scalable platforms, and turn AI capabilities into reliable production solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of scalable cloud and platform engineering architectures.
• Define technical standards, engineering practices, and architectural direction for platform and AI initiatives.
• Design infrastructure and services that support machine learning, AI applications, APIs, and data workloads.
• Lead development of reliable, secure, and scalable AI-enabled platforms.
• Collaborate with software engineers, ML engineers, data scientists, DevOps, product, and business teams.
• Establish effective CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, monitoring, and deployment practices.
• Support MLOps workflows including model deployment, versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Evaluate cloud services, AI frameworks, developer tools, and emerging technologies.
• Improve platform reliability, performance, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, architecture reviews, and mentoring to engineering teams.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for platform optimization.
• Support production incident management and develop preventative engineering solutions.
• Ensure engineering solutions follow appropriate security, data-management, and governance practices.
• Translate business and product requirements into practical technical architectures.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture decisions, engineering standards, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to long-term technology strategy and continuous engineering improvement.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, AI/ML engineering, software engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related discipline preferred.
• Strong software engineering and system-design fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or equivalent technologies.
• Practical knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure, MLOps, model deployment, or AI application platforms.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, APIs, databases, CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong programming experience with Python, Java, Go, or another modern engineering language.
• Understanding of distributed systems, scalable architectures, security, and reliability engineering.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance architecture, delivery, operational requirements, and business priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently with international and distributed engineering teams.
• Professional certifications are not required unless specifically relevant.
