Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel plant rooms, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and swimming pool equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections of plant rooms, swimming pool systems, and related equipment to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and application of chemicals used in swimming pool maintenance and other plant operations, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of chemical handling procedures, including water treatment for the swimming pools, to maintain safe and optimal conditions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on plant room equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, and filtration systems, to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operation.
  • Monitor and maintain swimming pool water quality, including pH levels, chlorine levels, and other chemical parameters, to meet health and safety standards.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance calls related to plant rooms, swimming pool systems, or other hotel facilities.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, chemical usage, work orders, and inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Monitor and manage energy usage across plant room operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and recommend energy‑saving initiatives.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including those related to chemical handling, to maintain a safe working environment for team members and guests.
  • Source and procure necessary parts, chemicals, and supplies for plant room and swimming pool maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition to ensure operational readiness.
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance systems, chemical handling processes, and energy‑saving measures to enhance plant room and pool operations.
Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, swimming pool equipment, and other plant room systems within a hotel environment.
  • Expertise in the safe handling, storage, and application of chemicals, particularly those used in swimming pool water treatment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and operational issues in plant room and swimming pool systems efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple maintenance requests, including urgent issues related to plant rooms and swimming pool systems.
  • Knowledge of energy‑saving practices, sustainability initiatives, and water treatment processes to optimize plant room and pool operations in the hotel industry.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
