Arabian Construction Company is recruiting a Senior Planning Manager for the Hail and Ghasha plant construction project in Abu Dhabi. The advert places the holder in charge of all project planning, scheduling and progress measurement on a multidisciplinary EPC scope running from engineering and procurement through construction, pre-commissioning and handover.
The programme work is Primavera P6 at Levels 1 to 5, built to the project execution plan, with a work breakdown structure and a cost breakdown structure set to the client's own procedures. The holder identifies and manages critical path activities, milestones and the interfaces between work packages, and keeps subcontractor schedules tied to the master programme.
Progress measurement runs across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, reported weekly and monthly with progress curves, S-curves, variances and forecasts. Where the programme slips, the holder analyses the deviation and prepares recovery or mitigation schedules. Two duties will interest claims practitioners.
The holder conducts schedule risk analysis and simulation using Primavera Risk Analysis, and evaluates the effect of scope changes, design revisions and delays on the project timeline. The advert also asks the holder to support claims and extension of time analyses in co-ordination with the contracts team.
The employer asks for a bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, at least fifteen years in project planning and controls on oil and gas, petrochemical, LNG or refinery EPC work, and ten years in a senior planning leadership role on major Middle East EPC projects. No salary and no closing date are published.
