Job summary

Azizi Group in Dubai is seeking an experienced MEP Planning Engineer to develop, monitor and control schedules for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and firefighting works, ensuring alignment with milestones and client expectations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 10–12 years of MEP planning experience on high-rise, commercial or industrial projects, and strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 10–12 years of planning experience on MEP projects (high-rise, commercial, industrial).
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Familiarity with MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, electrical, ELV).
• Understanding of PM processes, contracts (FIDIC) and authority regulations.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; BIM/Revit knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain project schedules for all MEP activities using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Integrate MEP works with civil, architectural and other disciplines in the master program.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and propose recovery plans.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, procurement and subcontractors for timely delivery of materials and works.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Conduct critical path analysis and highlight risks.
• Support claims, extension of time (EOT) and delay analysis.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and authority requirements.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Assist in resource planning, manpower histograms and productivity tracking.

MEP Planning Engineer

Job Purpose

To develop monitor and control project schedules for MEP works ensuring timely execution of mechanical electrical plumbing and firefighting systems in line with project milestones contractual requirements and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop update and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project for all MEP activities.
• Integrate MEP works with civil architectural and other disciplines in the master program.

• Coordinate with project managers engineers procurement and subcontractors for timely delivery of materials and works.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports highlighting look-ahead schedules and project status.
• Conduct critical path analysis and highlight potential risks affecting project delivery.
• Support project management team in claims extension of time (EOT) and delay analysis.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations project specifications and authority requirements.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings with clients consultants and contractors.
• Assist in resource planning manpower histograms and productivity tracking for MEP works.

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10-12years experience in planning for MEP projects (high-rise buildings commercial industrial or infrastructure).
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Familiarity with MEP systems (HVAC plumbing drainage firefighting electrical ELV).
• Understanding of project management processes contracts (FIDIC) and authority regulations.
• Excellent analytical reporting and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM/Revit is an advantage.
