Job summary

Azizi Group is seeking a Planning Engineer MEP to develop and maintain detailed project schedules for MEP works using Primavera P6 or MS Project. You will coordinate with project managers, site engineers and procurement teams to align timelines and resources.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical or electrical engineering degree, strong command of MEP systems, construction sequencing and progress reporting, with PMP a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed schedules for MEP works.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers and procurement to align timelines.
• Monitor progress, report delays and recovery plans.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and look-ahead programs.
• Update timelines based on site progress and scope changes.
• Assist in EOT and delay analysis.
• Identify critical paths and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate with main contractors and consultants for approvals.
• Support cost control by aligning progress with billing milestones.

Job Title: Planning Engineer MEP

Location: UAE

Experience Required: 710 years in planning of MEP works (UAE/GCC experience preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing & Fire Fighting) works using Primavera P6 or MS Project

• Coordinate with project managers site engineers and procurement teams to align project timelines and resource allocations

• Monitor progress against baseline schedules and report delays variances and recovery plans

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports look-ahead programs and S-curves

• Update project timelines based on site progress and changes in scope

• Assist in preparing extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis

• Identify critical paths and propose corrective actions to ensure timely delivery

• Coordinate with main contractors and consultants for approvals and progress tracking

• Support project cost control by aligning progress with billing milestones

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 MS Project and MS Excel

• Solid understanding of MEP systems and construction sequencing

• Experience in high-rise buildings commercial or infrastructure projects

• Strong analytical reporting and communication skills

• Knowledge of project management standards and practices (PMP certification is a plus)
