Job Summary:

This role will be responsible for developing and executing category plans to drive sales and profitability within the assigned product categories. The candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including marketing, sales, supply chain and finance—to ensure the successful implementation of category strategies. The goal is to optimize product assortments, pricing, promotions and merchandising to meet consumer needs and achieve business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Category Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement category plans based on market analysis, consumer insights and company objectives.
    • Identify growth opportunities within the category and create action plans to capitalize on them.
  • Market Analysis and Insights:
    • Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior, market trends and competitive landscape.
    • Analyze sales data, market share and other performance metrics to inform category decisions.
  • Assortment Planning & Analytics:
    • Analyze and optimize product assortments to meet consumer demand and maximize sales.
  • Pricing and Promotions:
    • Develop pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
    • Plan and execute promotional activities to drive sales and enhance brand visibility.
  • Merchandising and Planogram Development:
    • Create and implement effective merchandising plans to enhance the shopper experience.
    • Review planograms and ensure compliance across all retail locations.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with marketing, sales, supply chain and finance teams to align category strategies with overall business goals.
    • Communicate category plans and performance to key stakeholders.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels and work with supply chain to ensure optimal stock levels.
    • Manage product lifecycle, including new product introductions and discontinuations.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting:
    • Track category performance and provide regular reports to management.
    • Analyze the effectiveness of category initiatives and make data‑driven recommendations for improvement.
Functional / Technical Competencies:
  • SAP - BO / BI – Advanced Understanding.
  • MS Office – Excel & Power BI.
  • Integrated Business Planning Tools.
