Job summary

Wood seeks an experienced Piping Supervisor to lead fabrication shop activities, ensuring ADNOC-aligned execution and high-quality output. You will coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, and planning to resolve technical queries and maintain strict safety standards.

With 10+ years in piping fabrication and 5+ in supervision, you will read isometrics and P&IDs, manage resources, and drive on-time delivery on large EPC/EPCM projects in the Middle East.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in piping fabrication, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience working on ADNOC projects or similar Middle East oil & gas EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Strong knowledge of piping fabrication processes, welding techniques, NDT requirements, and international codes (ASME, API).
  • Familiarity with ADNOC standards, specifications, and HSE requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret piping isometrics, GA drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Experience in managing fabrication shop operations, workforce supervision, and productivity control.
  • Leadership ability to manage multicultural workforce in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day piping fabrication activities in the fabrication shop (cutting, fit-up, welding, assembly).
  • Ensure works comply with approved drawings, WPS, ITPs, and ADNOC project specs.
  • Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, and planning to resolve technical queries.
  • Monitor productivity and optimize manpower, materials, and equipment usage.
  • Ensure availability of materials, tools, and consumables to avoid delays.
  • Enforce HSE policies and ADNOC safety standards in the shop.
  • Review fabrication drawings and identify constructability issues before execution.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC for stage inspections, weld inspections, and final acceptance.
  • Track progress and report status to Construction/Project Management.
  • Ensure traceability of piping materials and supervise subcontractors if applicable.
  • Support pre-commissioning by ensuring spools meet quality and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain records of fabrication activities, weld maps, and production reports.

Job Objective

To supervise and coordinate all piping fabrication activities within the fabrication shop, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and approved procedures. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality fabrication works safely, on schedule, and in alignment with EPCM execution requirements.

Expected
