Job summary

Ecojob in Dubai seeks a Petroleum Engineer for a full-time role in our UAE operations. The successful candidate will assist in designing, developing, and implementing petroleum engineering activities, contributing to safe and cost-effective oil and gas production processes.

Applicants should hold a Petroleum Engineering degree, possess several years of experience, and be proficient with industry software such as PROSPER or PVTsim.

Qualifications

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Proven experience as a Petroleum Engineer (at least 5 years) preferred.
• Excellent understanding of mechanical systems used in oil & gas operations.
• Knowledge of relevant software such as PROSPER, PVTsim etc.
• Ability to analyze data accurately.
• Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Developing safe and cost-effective production systems for oil and gas projects.
• Conducting research to identify new resources and methods for petroleum extraction.
• Analyzing data from well logs, core samples, and other sources to determine production potentials.
• Designing plans for well drilling activities such as completion, stimulation, workovers, testing, etc.
• Performing economic evaluations of drilling operations and recommending strategies to optimize costs.
• Using computer simulations to model reservoir behavior and predict production performance.
• Collaborating with geologists and other professionals to interpret seismic surveys or determine optimal locations for wells.
• Supervising onsite personnel at drilling sites.
