- We are urgently hiring an experienced Petrol Engine Mechanic to maintain our fleet of construction rental equipment in Dubai.
 - This role is vital for ensuring our small, portable petrol-powered machinery remains operational and safe for our clients.
 
B. What You Will Service
- Generators (small to mid-sized, petrol-powered).
 - Plate Compactors and Vibratory Rammers (Wackers).
 - Concrete Mixers and Power Trowels.
 - Water Pumps, Cutters, and other small construction equipment.
 
C. Core Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and overhaul petrol engines (2-stroke and 4-stroke).
 - Perform routine and preventative maintenance (e.g., oil changes, filter replacement, spark plug checks).
 - Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults on site or in the workshop.
 - Maintain accurate service records and parts inventory.
 - Ensure all repaired equipment meets high safety and operational standards.
 
D. What We Require
- Proven experience as a Mechanic, specifically with petrol-powered machinery.
 - Prior experience in the Construction Equipment Rental sector is a significant advantage.
 - Strong knowledge of hydraulics and basic electrical systems is a must.
 - Ability to work efficiently under pressure to minimize equipment downtime.
 
E. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: AED 1,500 – 1,600 per month.

Engine & Diagnostics
- Petrol Engine Overhaul: Expert knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke petrol engine theory, disassembly, rebuild, and timing (e.g., Honda, Yanmar, Robin Subaru type engines).
 - Fuel System Proficiency: Mastery of carburetor cleaning, adjustment, and rebuilding; understanding of fuel lines, filters, and fuel pump diagnostics.
 - Ignition System Repair: Ability to test and replace spark plugs, ignition coils, magnetos, and wiring to resolve "no-start" or misfiring issues.
 - Diagnostic Tools: Skilled use of testing equipment such as compression testers, vacuum gauges, multimeters, and ammeters for fault tracing.
 
2. Equipment Systems
- Mechanical Systems: Ability to service and repair the peripheral mechanical components of construction equipment (e.g., clutches, drive belts, engine mounts, and gearboxes for small machinery).
 - Basic Electrical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of basic DC electrical systems (12V), including testing and repairing starting circuits, charging systems (alternators/stators), and battery maintenance.
 - Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Basic familiarity with the operation and maintenance of simple hydraulic (e.g., on plate compactors or small diggers) and pneumatic systems.
 
3. General Workshop Skills
- Technical Interpretation: Ability to read and correctly interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and basic wiring diagrams (schematics).
 - Preventive Maintenance (PM): Expertise in following strict PM schedules, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacement, and valve adjustments to prevent breakdowns.
 - Welding/Fabrication (Beneficial): Basic knowledge of welding or metal fabrication for minor structural repairs to equipment frames or guards is a plus.
