Overview
The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools. Tasks include identifying problems, performing repairs to Fix it Right standards, and ensuring compliance with OEM and Al-Futtaim guidelines. The role covers the full customer journey in the workshop, from receiving a service booking call to handover and invoicing, specifically for Volvo in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
What you will do
- Diagnose, perform general repairs, and carry out periodic maintenance with advanced general repair (AGR) and accessories fitment as per repair manuals to achieve productivity, utilization, and targeted hours.
- Create electronic warranty approvals in the Dealer Management System (SAP).
- Manage start-to-end customer interactions from receiving the booking to handover and invoicing.
- Proper usage of service tools and maintenance of the tools inventory.
- Ensure delivery of the vehicle on promise delivery time or per customer demand.
- Engage daily with Andons and the Aftersales Manager to develop the team’s technical skills.
- Keep abreast of latest developments in automotive manufacturing and technology.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of parts and components installation.
- Adhere to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and distributor standards.
- Write technical reports on AGR cases after diagnosing.
- Read and interpret complex documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, repair manuals, and wiring diagrams.
- Follow quality control processes to prevent or correct substandard workmanship.
- Contribute to business success by staying focused on personal performance and sharing knowledge with others.
- Understand and work within Volvo’s requirements where necessary.

About the Team
- Reporting to the Aftersales Manager and managing a team; close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
What equips you for the role
- Bachelor or Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering.
- IMI LV Master Technician (L3-4) or equivalent.
- High level brand certification (e.g., Diagnostic Master, Gold, L3).
- 4–6 years as a Light Vehicle Technician, including at least 2 years as a Diagnostic Technician; some experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership.
- Basic knowledge of Electric Vehicles.
- Technical skills, customer relationship management, and tooling proficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Valid UAE driver’s license.
