Overview

Orbitworks is seeking an experienced People Operations & Recruiting Partner to join our team at our state‑of‑the‑art facility in Abu Dhabi. This role is a unique blend of recruiting and people operations responsibilities designed to support our ambitious growth and production goals. You will manage the full recruitment cycle, drive onboarding excellence, handle employee lifecycle operations and ensure seamless HRBP support for our growing team. With plans to produce up to fifty 500‑kg satellites annually this role will be instrumental in building and supporting the skilled workforce needed to achieve these production targets.

About This Role
  • Source Candidates : Utilize a variety of platforms and strategies to identify and engage top talent in the aerospace and satellite manufacturing sectors.
  • Build Relationships : Establish and nurture relationships with passive candidates effectively communicating Orbitworks mission and opportunities to attract talent over time.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers : Partner closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs develop recruitment strategies and ensure a seamless interview process.
  • Screen Applications : Review candidate CVs and profiles to assess qualifications and fit for various technical roles.
  • Manage ATS : Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (Lever) with candidate statuses and activities ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct Interviews : Perform initial phone screens and coordinate interviews to advance qualified candidates through the recruitment process.
  • Candidate Experience : Maintain clear and consistent communication with candidates throughout the interview lifecycle ensuring a positive and unique experience reflective of Orbitworks culture.
  • Reporting : Provide weekly reports on the status of candidate pipelines and job requisitions to the recruiting team and hiring managers.
  • Employer Branding : Leverage social media platforms particularly LinkedIn to enhance Orbitworks employer brand and drive engagement with potential candidates.
  • Coordinate Interviews and Logistics : Assist in scheduling interviews arranging travel and managing other logistics to ensure a smooth candidate experience.
  • Onboarding : Create a seamless onboarding experience for new hires including coordinating orientations ensuring proper documentation and facilitating the setup of tools and systems.
  • Visa and Mobility Support : Manage visa applications renewals and compliance for international hires ensuring a smooth relocation process where applicable.
  • Compensation Administration : Collaborate with leadership and finance to support compensation reviews offer letter creation and other total rewards initiatives.
  • HRBP Support : Partner with managers to address employee relations issues provide guidance on performance management and support organizational development.
  • HR Compliance : Ensure all employee records are maintained and uptodate adhering to local labor laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Employee Engagement : Assist in developing initiatives to support employee satisfaction and retention fostering a positive work culture.
  • Policy Implementation : Support the rollout and communication of HR policies processes and initiatives.
Must Haves
  • Recruiting Experience : Proven experience as a full‑cycle recruiter in a fast‑paced environment with a focus on sourcing and closing mid to executive‑level engineering and technical candidates.
  • People Operations Expertise : Experience in onboarding compensation management visa processes and employee relations in a global or high‑growth environment.
  • Labor Law Knowledge : Strong understanding of local labor laws and regulatory requirements in the UAE with the ability to ensure compliance in all employment processes.
  • Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with the space industry or related tech startups is a strong plus.
  • HR Systems Proficiency : Advanced user of Applicant Tracking Systems (preferably Lever) and familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • LinkedIn Recruiter Expertise : Extensive experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter for sourcing and engagement.
  • Technical Acumen : Solid understanding of engineering and software terminology enabling thoughtful and engaging conversations with candidates.
  • Global Mobility Insight : Experience handling visa and mobility requirements for international teams.
  • Collaborative Spirit : A team player who enjoys working cross‑functionally with hiring managers employees and leadership.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Orbitworks mission is to make space simple for organizations that want to deploy physical and virtual missions to space. Building on Loft Orbitals heritage Orbitworks will be the first commercial firm in the United Arab Emirates to mass‑manufacture satellites. Orbitworks aims to manufacture tens of satellites annually and operates out of a 50000‑square‑foot facility in Abu Dhabi.
