Job summary

AMERICAN HOSPITAL Dubai seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide patient care, perform basic cardiopulmonary tests, and assist with polysomnography and PFTs across neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients. The role follows JCIA, DHA, AHA, ATS, AARC and AASM guidelines.

The candidate will respond to emergencies with BLS/ACLS/NRP, conduct comprehensive assessments, document in EMR, and ensure equipment calibration and infection control compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor or Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy; BLS/ACLS mandatory.
• PALS and NRP preferred; neonatal paediatric and adult critical care experience valued.
• Proficient in performing basic cardiopulmonary tests and sleep studies as per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe respiratory care and basic cardiopulmonary tests per policy.
• Respond to emergencies and perform BLS/ACLS/NRP as required.
• Document test procedures and results in EMR; maintain equipment calibration.
• Disinfect and dispose equipment per infection control standards.
• Prepare diagnostic test reports and support clinical consultants.
