Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East is seeking a highly experienced Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon with specialized expertise in pediatric heart transplantation for a leading tertiary pediatric cardiac center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The successful candidate will provide advanced surgical management for infants, children, and adolescents with complex congenital heart disease and other conditions requiring specialized cardiac surgical intervention.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
• Board certification or fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery with subspecialty training in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery.
• Additional advanced training or clinical experience in pediatric heart transplantation is mandatory.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Cardiac Surgery.
• Minimum 7-10 years of post-fellowship experience in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, including transplantation programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced pediatric cardiac surgical procedures for infants, children, and adolescents with complex congenital heart conditions.
• Undertake surgical repair of congenital heart defects using appropriate operative techniques.
• Perform high-risk neonatal cardiac surgery and complex pediatric cardiovascular procedures.
• Manage repeat cardiac operations and challenging cases requiring advanced clinical expertise.
• Conduct preoperative evaluations and develop individualized surgical plans.
• Provide postoperative care and monitor recovery following complex interventions.
• Lead and participate in pediatric heart transplantation programs.
