About the Role
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our HR & Finance team. The role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll lifecycle in the UAE, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing while maintaining compliance with UAE labour regulations and internal policies.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in UAE payroll, WPS, MOHRE compliance, payroll reconciliation, employee benefits, and final settlements, along with excellent analytical and Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the 360° UAE payroll process from payroll input validation to final salary processing and reconciliation.
- Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and within established deadlines.
- Validate attendance, leave, overtime, allowances, commissions, deductions, and other payroll inputs.
- Manage and process WPS salary files and ensure timely salary disbursement.
- Ensure payroll practices comply with UAE Labour Law, MOHRE regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and review monthly payroll reports, payroll registers, and reconciliation statements.
- Manage employee salary changes, increments, deductions, and other payroll adjustments.
- Calculate and process End-of-Service benefits, final settlements, leave salary, and other employee settlements.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams on employee onboarding, transfers, salary changes, and exits.
- Prepare and distribute accurate employee payslips.
- Respond to payroll-related employee queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date payroll and employee compensation records.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required payroll documentation and reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Stay updated on changes in UAE payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant payroll experience, with strong UAE payroll exposure.
- Hands-on experience managing the complete UAE payroll cycle.
- Strong knowledge of WPS, MOHRE regulations, UAE Labour Law, and End-of-Service calculations.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict payroll deadlines.
