Role Overview

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll in compliance with government regulations, internal policies, and statutory requirements. The role involves maintaining payroll data, verifying records, managing end-of-service benefits, and coordinating with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and process monthly payroll for all employees in accordance with approved timelines and government policies.
  • Verify employee attendance, leave records, deductions, and allowances to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll information within the HRIS system.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll reports for management and audit purposes.
  • Coordinate with Finance to process payments, benefits, and statutory contributions.
  • Manage end-of-service settlements, gratuity calculations, and final payments.
  • Handle payroll queries and provide timely resolutions to employee concerns.
  • Support annual audits and provide necessary payroll documentation and reports.
  • Continuously review payroll processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
