Job summary

Black & Grey HR is recruiting a Payroll Officer for a client in Abu Dhabi’s oil & gas sector. The role covers end‑to‑end payroll processing for base staff, offshore timesheet employees, and offshore freelance workers.

You will validate inputs, process salaries and deductions, and ensure compliant payroll outputs with confidentiality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of payroll processing experience in oil & gas, offshore, or related environments.
• Experience handling timesheet-based payroll, WPS, bank files, and payroll reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Good knowledge of payroll processes and MS Excel.
• Ability to work within strict payroll deadlines and manage high-volume processing.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and process payroll inputs within defined cut-off timelines.
• Process salaries, allowances, deductions, promotions, salary revisions, new joiners, and leavers.
• Validate offshore timesheets and process timesheet-driven and freelance payroll.
• Prepare payroll outputs, bank/WPS files, and supporting schedules for review and authorization.
• Support retroactive corrections, payroll reconciliations, and GL-related documentation.
• Respond to routine employee payroll queries and escalate complex or sensitive matters.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, change logs, working papers, and audit documentation.
