Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager in Dubai to oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensure accurate salary processing, and uphold compliance and reporting standards. You will lead a payroll team, collaborate with HR and Finance, and drive process improvements.

The role requires 6+ years in payroll, deep UAE payroll knowledge, and experience with HRIS/ERP systems. This on-site position offers growth in a multicultural Dubai-based environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of payroll experience with supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of UAE payroll practices, WPS and statutory deductions.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete monthly payroll cycle including salaries, allowances, deductions, overtime, bonuses and leave adjustments.
• Review payroll calculations, reconciliations and payment files for accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and WPS requirements.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, banks and employees to resolve payroll issues.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and prepare reports and audit documentation.
• Lead payroll team, identify process improvements and maintain controls.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the complete monthly payroll cycle, including salaries, allowances, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and leave adjustments.
• Review payroll calculations, reconciliations, and payment files to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
• Ensure payroll activities comply with applicable UAE regulations and WPS requirements.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, banks, payroll providers, and employees to resolve payroll-related matters.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records and documentation.
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, management summaries, and audit documentation.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve payroll issues efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate controls over sensitive payroll information.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and support payroll team members while maintaining high operational standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 6+ years of payroll experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of UAE payroll practices, WPS, employment-related requirements, and statutory deductions.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
• Strong reconciliation, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential information.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• GCC payroll experience is an advantage.
• CIPP, CPP, ACCA, CMA, or related professional qualifications are an advantage.
