Job summary

Versatile International Consultants in Dubai seeks an experienced Payroll & Billings Officer to join our Shared Services team, supporting Payroll, AR and AP. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will handle fortnightly and monthly payroll across multiple regions, maintain records, produce reports, and assist month-end and year-end processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process fortnightly and monthly payroll across multiple regions.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and reports.
• Prepare payroll journals and reconcile payroll GL accounts.
• Manage payroll enquiries and payroll mailbox.
• Support month-end and year-end payroll reporting.
• Set up clients and maintain debtor master files.
• Prepare and process sales invoices and sundry billings.
• Apply receipts and monitor outstanding balances.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and assist collections.
• Process supplier invoices and maintain vendor records.
• Prepare aged payables reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Support internal controls and fraud prevention; process payments.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Payroll & Billings Officer to join our Dubai-based Shared Services team.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in supporting a portfolio of rapidly growing entities, with responsibility across Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who is highly organised, commercially minded and takes pride in accuracy, confidentiality and delivering work to tight deadlines.

What you’ll be responsible for

Payroll

• Process fortnightly/monthly payroll and timesheets across multiple regions
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records
• Prepare weekly payroll reports and payroll journals
• Reconcile payroll‑related GL accounts
• Manage payroll enquiries and mailbox
• Support month‑end and year‑end payroll reporting and reconciliations
• Contribute to payroll projects and process improvements

Accounts Receivable

• Set up clients and maintain debtor master files
• Prepare and process sales invoices and sundry billings
• Apply receipts and monitor outstanding balances
• Follow up on overdue accounts and support timely collections
• Work with internal teams and clients to resolve billing issues

Accounts Payable

• Complete supplier onboarding and invoice verification
• Process invoices and maintain accurate vendor records
• Reconcile supplier statements and prepare aged payables reports
• Resolve supplier and invoice discrepancies
• Support internal controls and fraud prevention initiatives
• Prepare and process fortnightly and month‑end payment runs

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably across a medium to large workforce
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards and employment agreements
• Experience with payroll reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
• Proficiency with payroll systems and HRIS platforms
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• A relevant accounting, finance or related qualification is desirable
