Job summary

SEHA - Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. in Abu Dhabi, UAE, seeks a dedicated Nursing Aide/Caregiver to support residents with daily living activities and to assist healthcare teams. Responsibilities include mobility support, environment upkeep, and adhering to care plans under supervision.

Qualifications include an Associate or Nursing Diploma, mandatory BLS, and at least 1 year in healthcare; English fluency is required, Arabic preferred. This role is full-time and on-site within SEHA BU.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Aide / Caregiver (required).
• Diploma in Nursing (preferred).
• Valid BLS certification (mandatory).
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience (preferably long-term care).
• English fluency required; Arabic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support patient mobility and safe handling techniques.
• Help with patient activities, social engagement, and external trips.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked patient environments.
• Follow care plans under supervision of nurses/therapists.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
• Contribute positively to a supportive team environment and mentor junior staff.
• Participate in training, self-development, and performance reviews.
• Maintain skills, knowledge, and professional standards.
• Contribute to service improvements, audits, and quality initiatives.
• Support stock control, administrative tasks, and excellent patient experience.
• Follow infection control, occupational health & safety, and emergency protocols.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to policies and UAE regulations.
• Report incidents and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Promote equality, diversity, and respectful care.
• Uphold high customer service standards and patient-focused care.
