Job summary

Qualifications

The Division

The Arts and Humanities at NYU Abu Dhabi encompass fields of central importance to human culture and creativity. Research and scholarly activity in the Arts and Humanities is creative and collaborative spanning the disciplines to better understand the human experience through works of art and literature.

The Role

Arts Professor Joanna Settle seeks a research assistant for 3 years to coordinate and contribute to her ongoing research projects and laboratories for performance visual arts and curation. This job is an opportunity to be involved in the development of both creative projects and the infrastructure required to support and advance artistic work. Additionally this kawader fellow will be involved in supporting/developing Professor Settles classes and will gain perspective on arts pedagogy.

Professor Settle has several new collaborative projects in the US Europe Asia and UAE in development. As her research assistant the successful candidate will intersect with these projects and may attend biennials and other creative convenings with Professor Settle as appropriate.

The candidate will also work on individualized research projects under the supervision/mentorship of the supervisor.
