Job Title: Pastry Chef

Location: Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Salary: 1300 AED/Month

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Chef to join our team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate should have a good knowledge of food hygiene and safety as well as the ability to plan and execute desserts with creativity. The successful individual will be responsible for creating a variety of pastry products including cakes, cookies, pastries, tarts, pies and other desserts that meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Create a variety of pastry products including cakes, cookies, pastries, tarts, pies and other desserts that meet the highest quality standards.
  • Prepare and design high-quality desserts according to customer specifications.
  • Maintain all food safety standards while preparing ingredients and decorating finished products.
  • Follow recipes accurately with attention to detail when it comes to ingredients measurements.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area at all times while adhering to health codes and regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels of all ingredients needed for baking cakes and other pastry items.
  • Help out in other areas of the kitchen when needed such as plating or presentation.
  • Ensure that all orders are delivered on time and up to standards set by management.
Qualifications
  • Must have at least 2 years experience working as a pastry chef in a professional kitchen setting.
  • Knowledgeable in both classic French pastry techniques as well as modern trends in baking is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask between multiple orders without compromising quality or accuracy is essential.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately with attention to detail when it comes to ingredient measurements & techniques used is required.
  • Must be proficient in spoken & written English language skills for communication purposes with customers & colleagues alike is essential for this role.
