Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island is seeking a Pastry & Bakery Commis I to assist the chefs in day-to-day kitchen operations, producing items per recipes and maintaining quality. This entry-level role offers exposure to luxury guest experiences within a renowned hotel group.

You will support pastry production, uphold Four Seasons standards, and collaborate with a professional team to deliver exceptional service and product quality in a dynamic culinary environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar luxury-brand role.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items in line with standard recipes and instructions.
• Assist Chef de Partie/Demi Chef de Partie in developing standard recipes.
• Support day-to-day kitchen operations and product development.
• Apply pastry and bakery knowledge and maintain sanitation standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork; support Sous Chef as needed.

About The Role

The Pastry & Bakery Commis I assists the Chefs in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and helps maintain a high standard & quality of food preparation.

Main Duties/Description

• Prepare food items in accordance with standard procedures, recipe cards, photographs, and given instructions.
• Assist the Chef de Partie/Demi Chef de Partie/Commis I in developing standard recipes and ensure strict compliance with them.
• Participate in product development and support the smooth, efficient operation of the kitchen.
• Apply sound knowledge of pastry & bakery and food service sanitation to perform duties efficiently and productively.
• Maintain complete knowledge and adherence to Four Seasons Food Standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude at all times.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Sous Chef or Executive Pastry Chef.

What You Bring

• A minimum of at least 1 year of experience in the similar role in a luxury brand
• An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task
• High level of understanding and knowledge of kitchen operations
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
