Role Purpose
To support efficient parts and warehouse operations by accurately receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing automotive parts while maintaining proper inventory records and ensuring compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, store, organize, and distribute automotive parts to Retail and Workshop counters.
- Read and interpret parts orders, shipping orders, requisitions, and other documents to identify items required for picking or distribution.
- Sort and place parts and materials on racks, shelves, and bins according to product code, type, size, style, or other established storage sequences.
- Transport parts and materials from receiving areas to designated storage or distribution locations.
- Pick, assemble, and pack customer and workshop orders accurately from available stock.
- Place packed orders securely on pallets, in boxes, or other designated packaging.
- Label and mark parts and materials with the required identifying information.
- Open bales, crates, cartons, and other containers using appropriate tools and procedures.
- Record quantities of materials and parts received, picked, and distributed.
- Weigh and count parts and materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Use computer systems to enter and update inventory and parts movement records.
- Operate a forklift to safely transport parts and materials within the warehouse, where authorized.
- Prepare parcels and packages for dispatch or mailing.
- Confirm inventory movements and ensure records are accurately updated.
- Maintain proper organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and assigned work areas.
- Handle automotive parts and company materials carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Follow all warehouse, inventory control, health and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Procurement & Stores Manager.
Quality & Performance Standards
- Ensure accurate picking, counting, packing, and distribution of parts.
- Maintain proper storage and organization of parts and materials.
- Ensure inventory movements are recorded accurately and on time.
- Minimize picking and distribution errors.
- Handle parts, equipment, and company assets responsibly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all company SOPs and health and safety requirements.
- Support timely parts availability for Retail and Workshop operations.
What We're Looking For
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable warehouse, stores, automotive parts, logistics, or inventory environment.
Education:
Diploma in Material Management or a related field is preferred.
Technical & Operational Skills:
- Good understanding of warehouse and stores operations.
- Knowledge of parts receiving, storage, picking, packing, and distribution.
- Ability to read parts orders, requisitions, and shipping documents.
- Good counting, weighing, labeling, and inventory handling skills.
- Knowledge of inventory movement and stock control procedures.
- Forklift operating experience is an advantage, with appropriate authorization/certification where required.
Computer Skills:
Computer literate with the ability to enter and maintain inventory and warehouse records.
Languages:
Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is preferred.
