Job description

Provide assistance and support on matters handled by the legal function across the Eurasia & Middle East Operating Unit, focusing primarily on the Middle East region and Pakistan and Afghanistan, with flexibility to provide support to other franchises within the Operating Unit when needed. Responsibilities include tracking and administering agreements, drafting non-complex contracts, pre-reviewing labels and promotional materials, handling company secretarial work, and providing administrative and office support to ensure smooth daily operations. Support Legal Counsels in delivering continuity, sustainability, consistency, and effectiveness of the function.

What You’ll Do For Us
  • Company Secretarial Work: Facilitate company secretarial processes for the Company and its subsidiaries/associated entities, including drafting Board of Directors (BoD) resolutions, General Assembly documents, and Powers of Attorney; coordinating timely completion of registrations and accreditations; and maintaining governance documentation repositories.
  • Contract Drafting & Review: Assist business units in developing business terms for contracts and draft/review non‑complex documents; provide legal language support to Operations Counsels and contribute to contract lifecycle management to ensure compliance and readiness for audits.
  • Dispute and Correspondence Drafting: Draft pleadings to be submitted to execution offices, correspondence, termination letters, and other formal communications as required.
  • Marketing & Promotions Review: Compose, review, and make recommendations on promotion legal texts provided by Marketing departments; review package labels, marketing, advertising, and PR materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor local regulations and advise internal clients on new enactments; coordinate with outside counsel as needed to address regulatory changes and compliance requirements.
  • Records Management: Maintain accurate and efficient departmental records tracking contracts, approvals, policies, regulatory updates, and other relevant legal documents.
  • Budget Follow‑Up: Track and administer the Legal function’s budget, including costs for outside counsel, notarization, litigation, travel, etc.; recommend adjustments or reallocations as needed.
  • Training & Awareness: Support delivery of training to associates and management related to compliance, governance, litigation, and policies; prepare informative bulletins to raise legal awareness.
  • Process Improvement: Observe ways of operating and recommend innovations to make legal processes more effective and productive.
  • Regional Support: Provide legal assistance across the Eurasia & Middle East Operating Unit whenever cross‑market support is required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (preferred) and/or relevant paralegal/legal secretarial certification or diploma.
  • At least 3–5 years of work experience in a law firm or legal department of a multinational company.
  • Legal research capability, detail orientation, and a strong compliance mindset.
  • Clear, effective communication skills and fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a definite advantage.
  • High integrity, time management skills, and ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated prioritization skills in a complex, multicultural environment.
