Job summary

A leading company in the Middle East seeks a Paralegal to support legal and compliance matters. The successful candidate will prepare and review legal documents, draft legal opinions, and maintain document repositories. Candidates should have a Bachelor Degree in Law and 1-3 years of paralegal experience. This role involves liaising with lawyers and authorities and conducting legal research, ensuring all legal processes are followed accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, assessing, reviewing legal documents as per the requirements of the Legal Department.
  • Draft preliminary Legal Opinions on various issues in line with the relevant laws.
  • Maintaining the appropriate repositories for the documents, invoices, agreements of the Legal Department.
  • Liaise with the Lawyers, Law firms to file the necessary submissions in Courts, Police, and Government authorities.
  • Coordinate the documentation process, attestations with various government bodies.
  • Legal Research on various issues as required by the Legal Department.
  • Creating and maintaining data records as per the requirements of the Legal Department.
  • Monitoring and updating legal changes in the UAE.

Job Summary

Support BU for any legal and compliance matters, work collaborate with Corporate Legal team

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Preparing, assessing, reviewing legal documents as per the requirements of the Legal Department.
  • Draft preliminary Legal Opinions on various issues in line with the relevant laws.
  • Maintaining the appropriate repositories for the documents, invoices, agreements of the Legal Department.
  • Liaise with the Lawyers, Law firms to file the necessary submissions in Courts, Police, Government, Semi-government Authorities, Commercial centers, Registries in the various countries of operations of the Company.
  • Coordinate the documentation process, attestations with various government bodies, due filings within the timelines.
  • Legal Research on various issues as required by the Legal Department.
  • Closely work with the managers of the Department, assisting them with their daily operational tasks as and when required.
  • Creating and maintaining PPT or other Excel file data, records as per the requirements of the Legal Department.
  • Monitoring and updating in case of changes in the legal arena in the UAE and other countries of operations of the Company.
KPIs
  • Turnaround time for drafting/reviewing legal documents
  • Accuracy of legal documents (minimal revisions required)
  • Timeliness of drafting preliminary legal opinions
  • Completeness and accuracy of document repository management
  • Timely coordination with lawyers, law firms, and authorities
  • Error-free filing/submissions and attestation processes
  • Timeliness and quality of legal research reports
  • Accuracy and maintenance of data and reports
  • Monitoring and reporting of regulatory/legal changes (UAE & other jurisdictions)

1-3 Years as Paralegal
