About The Position

Position: Paralegal

Place of Employment: Dubai

Summary of Role

The Paralegal will serve as the primary day-to-day legal partner for the business on commercial, product, and marketing matters. The role requires independent management of routine and complex legal issues, allowing the Head of Legal to focus on strategic priorities while maintaining overall oversight. The Paralegal will enable business growth by delivering clear, pragmatic advice, managing contract negotiations, and ensuring products and marketing activities are supported by strong legal frameworks.

Tasks & Responsibility

Commercial Contracts & Transactions

  • Independently draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements for day-to-day operations, including SaaS, vendor, licensing, strategic partnership, and technology contracts.

  • Lead negotiations for low and medium-value agreements, escalating only material or strategically sensitive issues to the Head of Legal.

Product Legal Advisory

  • Take day-to-day ownership of legal issues relating to product development, structuring, and end-to-end contract lifecycle management.

  • Partner with product managers and business teams to provide practical guidance that enables innovation while mitigating legal risks.

  • Draft and review customer-facing documentation, platform terms and conditions, and clickwrap agreements.

  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting digital and AI product workstreams, and provide forward-looking advice to product stakeholders, escalating strategic risks to the Head of Legal.

  • Providing strategic counsel to product positioning.

Marketing & Customer Engagement

  • Support the marketing and CRM team with reviewing and approving marketing, sales, and promotional materials related to products, to ensure compliance with applicable laws.

  • Provide timely, business-focused advice to marketing and commercial teams on campaign design, customer communications, and promotional claims.

  • Act as the key day-to-day legal contact for go-to-market strategies and customer engagement initiatives.

Legal Support

  • Support the Head of Legal on major strategic projects such as joint ventures, market entry, or large-scale partnerships, and any other ad hoc legal matters overseen by the Head of Legal.

  • Provide input to the management team regarding executive decision-making by delivering practical, solution-oriented advice on commercial product and marketing matters.

  • Conduct in‑depth legal research and analysis of complex issues, preparing detailed and actionable internal memos to guide business decisions.

Operational Excellence & Collaboration

  • Deliver training to non-legal teams (sales, product, marketing) to enhance understanding of legal risks and processes.

  • Support the Head of Legal with the management of external counsel, including instruction, oversight of deliverables, and negotiation of fees, ensuring alignment with budget and value objectives.

Experience / Personal Requirements

  • UK‑educated with demonstrable experience in a UK law firm or reputable in‑house legal team.

  • Strong background in contract drafting, review, and negotiation; able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

  • Exposure to media, technology, and communications matters; experience with IP or digital assets is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with cross‑border commercial work or multi‑jurisdictional teams is desirable.

  • Conscientious, detail‑oriented, and highly organised.

  • Confident communicator with excellent drafting and written English.

  • Strong legal research and problem‑solving skills; self‑starter who finds answers independently.

  • Adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and with international stakeholders.
