Job summary

IMI is seeking a Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support to the Legal Department, assisting with contract management, legal research, and document preparation. The role requires handling confidential information and coordinating with internal teams across the organization.

Responsibilities include maintaining corporate records, managing contract databases, preparing meeting packs and resolutions, and supporting litigation with external counsel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of contract law principles.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal processes.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal document management systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a paralegal or legal support role, preferably within an in-house legal department or a reputable law firm.
  • Experience in contract administration, legal documentation, and document management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or a related legal discipline.
  • Paralegal certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, review, formatting, and administration of legal documents, agreements, and correspondence.
  • Assistance with legal AI, databases and procurement contract management systems (ARIBA)
  • Support the contract lifecycle process, including document tracking, filing, renewals, and maintaining contract databases.
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings on legislation, regulations, and legal precedents as required.
  • Prepare legal reports, presentations, and briefing materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain corporate records, legal files, and documentation in an organized and confidential manner.
  • Coordinate the execution of legal documents and ensure proper record retention.
  • Support corporate governance activities, including preparing meeting packs, resolutions, and maintaining statutory records where applicable.
  • Assist with litigation and dispute management by coordinating documentation and liaising with external legal counsel when required.
  • Monitor contract expiry dates, legal obligations, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to obtain information required for legal reviews and approvals.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of legal processes and document management systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CLO or Legal Team.

Role Summary:
