Job summary

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport seeks a skilled painter to maintain and repaint aircraft surfaces and hangar facilities. The role requires reading safety procedures, applying multiple coats, and operating painting equipment with a strong emphasis on accuracy and cleanliness.

You will work in a climate-controlled environment, wear appropriate PPE, and collaborate with the P&E Department. A minimum of five years in a similar post and readiness for overtime are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar post.
• Ability to read and interpret basic documents and safety rules.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Knowledge of painting methods and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret basic documents and safety rules.
• Apply several coats following paint directions.
• Operate paint machine safely.
• Wear PPE including respiratory mask and oxygen helmet when painting.
• Lift/push up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain organized, clean work area for safety.

Process

• Ability to read and interpret basic document, safety rules and other correspondence.
• Apply several coats according to paint directions.
• Ability to use paint machine
• Must wear long sleeves shirt, able to stand the heat, not history of allergies or other related substances, no breathing problems, must wear respiratory mask at all the time and must wear oxygen helmet while are painting.
• Must be able to lift and push up to 50 Pound (between 50 and 100 Pounds)
• Attention to detail, detect defects in materials and equipment of paint itself (Visual Inspections)
• Work in an organized manner, cleanliness is extremely important, because this is part of the safety too.
• Able to work in a team (Team – Orientate) and able to do overtime if the company requires.
• Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices and tools used in painting trade.
• Able to work in a climate-controlled environment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence
• Must be available for regular standby assignments and work scheduled off‑hours and emergency overtime as required.

• To comply with the relevant safety requirements and procedures outlined in the Aerodrome Operations Manual and Safety Management System and any other instructions or notices issued by Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
• To comply with the safety requirements detailed within their training.
• To advise their Head of Department and the Airport Duty Officer team of any safety occurrence or system failure and to identify and report any situation of potential risk or concern affecting safety via one of the following means.
• Report directly to the Safety Department or an immediate supervisor.
• Submitting an Accident/ Incident Report.
• Support safety audits as and investigations as they occur.
