Job summary

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a PACU nurse to provide direct and indirect age-specific care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit across scheduled shifts.

You will perform nursing assessments, participate in care planning, and coordinate with families and a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based outcomes for all patients.

The role emphasizes JCIA compliance, ongoing education, and participation in quality improvement to uphold the highest standards of postoperative care.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Current nursing license and BLS certification.
• Ability to perform age-specific, evidence-based patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-specific, patient-centered care in PACU using nursing process.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and family needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Maintain JCIA compliance and participate in CQI activities.
• Provide post-anesthesia care for pediatric and adult patients.
