Job summary

Amazon in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a packaging operations professional to develop and scale sustainable e-commerce packaging standards and solutions. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Data Science and Global Packaging teams to reduce waste, cut damages, and drive significant savings while delivering a superior customer experience.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, excellent English communication, and prior operational experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage new and existing programs successfully delivering projects and goals.
• Work directly with key internal stakeholders customers and partner teams to craft and deliver packaging solutions.
• Influence design and development of packaging and associated processes.
• Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and deliver critical business initiatives.
• Manage post-launch support plans (e.g. post-mortem issue/ticket management etc.) and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence.
• Coordinate and communicate packaging improvements and progress updates to key stakeholders.
• Data analytics and root cause analysis to identify the gaps in performance and drive actions for improvement
• Manage Packaging lab operations and testing of packaging material

We interface with Operations Engineering Category Finance Procurement Data Science and Global Packaging teams to identify and execute solutions that improve Customer experience by reducing waste and damages in packaging while also driving significant savings for Amazon. This opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting problem solving innovative thinking and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced ambiguous and technical environment. Ownership of work is extremely important and candidates should have a proven record of driving projects and strategic initiatives to completion. The ideal candidate is motivated optimistic and agile; with strong time management and project management skills.
