Job summary

Henkel is seeking a packaging engineer to lead new packaging development projects, balancing performance, quality, cost, and sustainability. You’ll define budgets, ensure SHE compliance, and drive circular economy initiatives while exploring new packaging technologies.

You will collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Production to translate consumer insights into innovative packaging solutions and ensure compliance with international regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Proficiency in CAD for 2D/3D drawings.
• Knowledge of packaging materials and sustainability.
• Experience with laboratory testing standards and quality control.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

What makes you a good fit

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to develop and interpret 2D and 3D technical drawings.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, including plastics, polymers, paper, and sustainable packaging alternatives.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing standards, packaging performance evaluation, and quality control procedures.
• Experience in laboratory equipment handling, testing procedures, and equipment management.
• Understanding of packaging development processes, material selection, and manufacturing technologies.
• Knowledge of sustainability principles, recyclability, and circular economy practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Production.
• Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Eagerness to learn, innovate, and contribute to the development of new packaging solutions.
