Job summary

Emirates Steel in Abu Dhabi ICAD is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to operate 50+ ton overhead gantry cranes. You must hold an active UAE Heavy Equipment Operator License, maintain a completely clean safety record, and have 3–5 years of verifiable crane experience in heavy manufacturing, steel production or seaport settings.

You will follow Emirates Steel HSE protocols, conduct pre-shift inspections, and coordinate with riggers and dispatch to safely load coils, rebar, and scrap

Qualifications

• Active UAE Heavy Equipment Operator License with a completely clean traffic and workplace safety record.
• 3–5 years of verifiable experience operating 50+ ton overhead gantry cranes in heavy manufacturing, steel production or seaport logistics.
• Must pass Abu Dhabi medical and occupational health screenings proving flawless depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy-duty overhead cranes to lift and position steel coils, rebar bundles, and scrap across ICAD floors.
• Adhere to Emirates Steel HSE protocols and perform pre-shift inspections on rigging, hoists, and hydraulic systems.
• Coordinate with ground riggers, dispatch managers, and loading bay staff to load vehicles and prevent bottlenecks.
