Job summary

Talentspoc in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves comprehensive surgical care for the mouth, jaws, face, and related structures.

You will diagnose, plan and perform dentoalveolar to complex maxillofacial procedures, manage trauma, and use imaging like CBCT and MRI. Collaboration with multiple specialties is essential, along with CPD participation.

Qualifications

• BDS, DDS, DMD, MBBS, or equivalent qualification appropriate to the specialty.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or equivalent.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
• Strong experience in oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures.
• Experience in dentoalveolar surgery, facial trauma, oral pathology, and complex surgical cases.
• Strong clinical assessment, surgical decision-making, and patient-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations, examinations, and clinical assessments.
• Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for oral and maxillofacial conditions.
• Perform routine and complex dentoalveolar procedures, including removal of impacted teeth.
• Manage complicated dental extractions, oral infections, cysts, benign lesions, and other pathologies.
• Evaluate and manage facial trauma and maxillofacial injuries within scope.
• Perform orthognathic, reconstructive, implant-related procedures as needed.
• Use imaging such as dental radiographs, CBCT, CT, and MRI for diagnostics.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and manage complications.
• Discuss diagnosis, options, risks, and outcomes with patients and families.
• Collaborate with dentists, ENT, plastic surgeons, radiologists, and others.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to infection-control standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and CPD activities.
