The candidate must possess a degree in Optometry, with up to date knowledge of optometric services and techniques. Previous experience is an advantage but not essential, as on the job training will be provided.

The main duties of the Optometrist will include carrying out eye tests using specialist equipment, assessing eye health and prescribing glasses and contact lenses to correct vision problems. They will also be responsible for providing advice on eyecare and giving advice on lifestyle changes that may reduce any risks to vision health.

The successful applicant should be reliable, have a professional manner and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. They should also be confident working independently or as part of a team. This role offers a competitive salary of 1100 per month.
