Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited optometry school.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive eye examinations to detect ocular diseases.
• Diagnosing common eye conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia.
• Prescribing corrective lenses (glasses or contact lenses) based on exam results.
• Evaluating fit for contact lenses and teaching insertion/removal techniques.
• Recommending vision therapy for certain visual disorders.
• Educating patients on proper eyecare and product selection.
• Keeping accurate records of patient visits.
• Maintaining current knowledge of optometric trends and best practices.
