Job summary

TradesApp in Dubai is looking for an Optometrist to perform eye examinations, propose vision corrections, and ensure high standards of patient care in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will support optical sales, help with customer retention, and manage day-to-day store operations, including stock and equipment maintenance. UAE experience is preferred, and bilingual English skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Optometry or recognized qualification.
• Valid Optometry license or eligibility letter from MOH, DHA, or DOH.
• Minimum 2 years of optometry experience; UAE experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent knowledge of optical lenses and contact lens fitting.
• Customer-focused with sales and relationship-building mindset.
• Flexibility to work weekends and varied shifts.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or Russian is an advantage.

About the Role

The Optometrist is responsible for conducting eye examinations, providing professional vision and contact lens solutions, and delivering excellent customer service. The role also supports optical sales, customer retention, and day-to-day store operations.

Job Responsibilities

1. Eye Care & Clinical Services

• Conduct eye examinations and vision assessments.

• Diagnose common vision problems and prescribe corrective lenses and contact lenses.

• Perform contact lens fitting and provide appropriate eye-care guidance.

• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure professional clinical standards are followed.

2. Customer Service & Sales

• Provide excellent customer service and understand customers' vision and lifestyle needs.

• Recommend suitable optical lenses, contact lenses, and related products.

• Follow up with customers within three days after eye examinations to ensure satisfaction.

• Build strong customer relationships and support customer retention and sales growth.

• Assist with sales activities when required.

3. Stock & Equipment

• Monitor contact lens stock and check expiry dates every six months.

• Place and follow up on contact lens orders.

• Monitor and follow up on optometry equipment maintenance.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or recognized qualification in Optometry.

• Previous experience of at least 2 years is required. UAE experience will be preferred.

• Valid Optometrist license or eligibility letter from MOH, DHA, or DOH

• Strong clinical, communication, and customer service skills.

• Good knowledge of optical lenses and contact lens fitting.

• Customer-focused with a strong sales and relationship-building approach.

• Flexible to work weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts when required.
