EDGE is seeking an experienced Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop high‑performance opto‑mechanical components and systems for advanced optical applications. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in opto‑mechanical systems design and development.
• Strong proficiency in CAD tools and simulation platforms.

Responsibilities

• Use 3D CAD to create opto‑mechanical concepts for innovative systems.
• Design, develop, analyse, document and support testing of robust components and assemblies.
• Perform tolerance, thermal, structural, optical analyses using CAD, optical modelling and FEA tools.
• Analyze how loads and environment affect performance, focusing on optics assemblies.
• Participate in design reviews and support production through next‑gen development.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis using engineering principles.
• Ensure manufacturability and generate data packs for designed components.
• Provide technical oversight and delegate tasks as appropriate.
