Role Overview:

Orbit International Survey Services (Orbit ISS) is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Operations Lead, Oil & Gas, with a strong background in inspection, quality control, and service execution within the oil & gas and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in Third-Party Inspection (TPI) operations, including inspector mobilization, client coordination, proposal preparation, and compliance with international standards such as API, ASME, AWS, and ISO. Strong proficiency in digital tools, ERP/SRM systems, and strategic planning is essential to drive operational excellence and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage technical teams, inspector mobilization, and resource allocation to meet project requirements.
  • Act as the primary client interface, addressing technical and commercial queries, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution.
  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals, tender submissions, and client presentations.
  • Identify and implement service improvements and business expansion opportunities aligned with market trends.
  • Drive process optimization and digitalization initiatives to improve efficiency, service delivery, and competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (API, ASME, ISO) and support internal audits, accreditations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with management to align technical capabilities with strategic business objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients regarding scheduling, progress updates, and performance feedback.
  • Attend and facilitate meetings with clients, management, and cross-functional teams.
  • Utilize SRM/vendor management systems for vendor registrations, qualifications, and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
  • 8-15 years' experience in QA/QC, inspection, or surveying, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong background in source inspections and TPI operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (API, ASME, AWS, ISO, etc.).
  • Valid CSWIP certification (mandatory).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills.
  • Proficient in inspection software, ERP, CRM, and SRM tools.
  • Familiarity with vendor registration/qualification portals and documentation.
  • Valid UAE driving license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Nationalities: Filipino, Indian, Jordanian, Egyptian, or Emirati.
  • 5 years' office-based experience managing clients, vendors, and inspection teams.
  • 3 years in a QA/QC managerial capacity within Oil & Gas.
  • 2 years' experience in manpower planning, scheduling, and activity monitoring.
  • Experience in preparing proposals, budgets, and procurement documentation.
  • Exposure to Marine, Ports, Oilfields, Renewable Energy, and TPI operations.
  • Experience with global vendor inspections and inter-branch coordination.
