Job summary

Magnet HR Tech Digital is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Manager in the UAE to lead the operation, maintenance, and service delivery of automated material handling systems, cargo handling equipment, and warehouse automation solutions.

You will drive system availability, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while ensuring contractual compliance and operational profitability. The role requires strong leadership and expertise in PLC/SCADA, automation, and team management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification desirable.
• PLC/SCADA or industrial automation certification advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial automation or material handling; 5+ years in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation and maintenance across all customer sites.
• Ensure preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance per contractual requirements.
• Maximise system uptime and equipment reliability; minimise downtime.
• Ensure SLA/KPI compliance and contract obligations.
• Develop operational strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules; manage emergencies.
• Conduct RCA for major failures; monitor MTBF/MTTR and availability.
• Provide technical guidance for automated cargo handling, parking, warehouses, conveyors, ASRS, and robotics.
• Lead engineers, technicians, and subcontractors; conduct performance appraisals.
• Serve as primary client contact for operations; attend reviews and address complaints.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and AMC proposals.
• Ensure HSEQ compliance with UAE regulations and ISO standards.
• Prepare monthly operational reports and present to management.

The Operations &Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the operation, maintenance, and service delivery of automated material handling systems, cargo handling equipment, automated parking systems, and warehouse automation solutions. The role ensures maximum system availability, customer satisfaction, contractual compliance, operational efficiency, and profitability while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

Lead the day-to-day operation and maintenance activities across all customer sites.

Ensure all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities are executed in accordance with contractual requirements.

Maximize system uptime and equipment reliability while minimizing downtime.

Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and contractual obligations.

Develop operational strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Maintenance Management

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.

Manage emergency breakdown response and recovery activities.

Ensure Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is conducted for major failures.

Monitor Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and equipment availability.

Ensure OEM maintenance procedures are followed.

Commercial Responsibilities

Manage maintenance budgets and operational costs.

Monitor spare parts inventory and optimize stock levels.

Review quotations for maintenance contracts and spare parts.

Support the preparation of annual maintenance contract (AMC) proposals.

Identify cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ)

Ensure compliance with UAE health and safety regulations and company HSE policies.

Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.

Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements (where applicable).

Planning & Reporting

Prepare Monthly Operational Reports, Including
