Job summary

Alstom is seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance Technician for on-site work in Dubai, UAE. The role focuses on electromechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within rail environments, with emphasis on preventive and corrective maintenance and fault diagnosis.

You will support OCC operations, service restoration, emergency response, and safety compliance, using ATC/ATP/PDS, CCTV and SIMS. Strong English communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in rail/transit operations and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electromechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and recover complex rail systems.
• Familiarity with HSE standards and safety inspections.
• Good English communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rolling stock, wayside systems and equipment.
• Diagnose faults using specialized electronic testing and diagnostic tools.
• Conduct inspections, repairs, adjustments, and system recovery activities.
• Support OCC operations, train availability, service restoration and emergency response.
• Operate ATC, ATP, PDS, CCTV, comms systems and SITE Information Management Systems (SIMS).
• Develop maintenance procedures, schedules, documentation and training materials.
• Ensure efficient execution of maintenance plans to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Maintain compliance with procedures, site rules and maintenance standards.
• Monitor system performance and coordinate contingency actions during service disruptions.
• Perform power management with traction power and distribution systems.

Your future role

Experienced Operations & Maintenance Technician with strong expertise in electromechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within rail and transit environments. Skilled in preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, system recovery, OCC operations, and safety compliance. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems, ensure high fleet and infrastructure availability, and support reliable customer service while maintaining full compliance with Alstom EHS standards and the Alstom Zero Deviation Policy (AZDP).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on rolling stock, wayside systems, and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve faults using specialized electronic testing and diagnostic tools.
• Conduct inspections, repairs, adjustments, modifications, and system recovery activities.
• Support OCC operations, train availability, service restoration, and emergency response activities.
• Operate and utilize ATC, ATP, PDS, CCTV, communication systems, and Site Information Management Systems (SIMS).
• Assist in developing maintenance procedures, schedules, technical documentation, and training materials.
• Ensure efficient execution of maintenance plans to maximize system reliability and reduce downtime.
• Maintain compliance with operating procedures, site rules, and maintenance standards.
• Monitor system performance and coordinate contingency actions during service disruptions.

Health, Safety & Environment (EHS)

• Comply with Alstom EHS requirements and the Alstom Zero Deviation Policy (AZDP).
• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and safety risks.
• Conduct safety inspections and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Report hazards, unsafe acts, and non-compliance issues while supporting corrective actions.
• Ensure safe work practices for all maintenance and operational activities.
