Job summary

Bunya, Inc. in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced O&M coordinator to oversee infrastructure and public realm assets, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with maintenance standards.

The role requires hands-on oversight of contracts, service providers, and environmental programs. You will conduct inspections, prepare specifications, review reports, and coordinate with authorities and developers on O&M matters, while driving continuous improvement and sustainable waste management practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental/infrastructure engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in O&M of infrastructure assets.
• Experience with community infrastructure, public realm, municipal services, environmental services, or solid waste management.
• Experience supervising contractors and service providers.
• UAE experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise operation and maintenance of infrastructure and public realm assets.
• Manage service providers for environmental, waste, recycling, and community cleanliness.
• Conduct routine site inspections to assess asset condition and compliance with maintenance standards.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities and monitor service provider performance against KPIs and contractual requirements.
• Support infrastructure asset handover and takeover activities with developers, authorities, and stakeholders.
• Investigate complaints, incidents, and damages affecting public infrastructure and community assets.
• Review technical reports, method statements, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of technical specifications, scope of works, tender documents, and contract evaluations related to O&M services.
• Monitor environmental compliance and support sustainability initiatives related to waste management, recycling programs, and public realm maintenance.
• Coordinate with government authorities, utility agencies, master developers, consultants, and contractors on O&M-related matters.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, asset conditions, and service provider performance.
• Support emergency response activities and coordinate corrective actions during incidents affecting infrastructure assets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing asset performance, service quality, and operational efficiency

• Monitor and supervise the operation and maintenance of infrastructure and public realm assets, including roads, bridges, utilities corridors, landscape areas, street furniture, and associated infrastructure
• Manage and monitor service providers responsible for environmental services, waste collection, waste segregation, recycling initiatives, and community cleanliness
• Conduct routine site inspections to assess asset condition, identify defects, and verify compliance with maintenance standards
• Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities and monitor service provider performance against KPIs and contractual requirements
• Support infrastructure asset handover and takeover activities with developers, authorities, andstakeholders
• Investigate complaints, incidents, and damages affecting public infrastructure and community assets

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, InfrastructureEngineering, or equivalent discipline.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the operations and maintenance of infrastructure assets.
• Experience in community infrastructure, public realm assets, municipal services, environmental services, or solid waste management.
• Experience in supervising contractors and service providers.
• UAE experience is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE:

• Understanding of infrastructure maintenance practices for roads, bridges, public realm, landscaping, utilities, and related assets.
• Knowledge of environmental services, waste collection systems, recycling practices, and solid waste management operations.
• Understanding health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Familiarity with maintenance contracts, KPI monitoring, and service level agreements.
