Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS (American Heart Association) Provider card.

• Desirable: organizational and administrative skills to use EMR for clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, appropriate and effective patient care.
• Determine nursing interventions based on assessment data.
• Prioritize identified needs and implement nursing actions.
• Coordinate clinical activities when acting as charge nurse.
• Collaborate with Nursing Supervisor on staffing for shifts.
• Plan, implement and evaluate clinical programs.
• Maintain real-time clinical records.
• Provide advanced nursing skills and maintain current practice knowledge.
• Act as a clinical resource for staff and consult with other healthcare disciplines.
• Represent nursing at multidisciplinary rounds.
• Perform essential life support per regulatory requirements (BLS, ALS, NRP, etc.).
• Contribute to standards, procedures and protocols; promote evidence-based practice.
