Job summary

ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC UAE is seeking an Electrical Construction Project Engineer to coordinate and supervise day-to-day electrical construction and installation activities at the project site. You will review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and ensure works align with project requirements, schedules, and international standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering, 5-7 years' experience in construction, and proficiency in AutoCAD and related software; PMP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and civil engineering/design software.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise day-to-day electrical construction and installation activities at the project site.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project documents.
• Ensure electrical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project disciplines.
• Monitor project progress and ensure electrical activities are completed according to the approved schedule.
• Prepare and review method statements, material submittals, inspection requests, and technical submissions.
• Supervise electrical installation works, including power distribution, cables, transformers, switchgear, lighting, earthing, and related systems as applicable.
• Monitor the quality of electrical works and ensure compliance with approved materials and technical specifications.
• Identify technical issues and coordinate with relevant parties to implement effective engineering solutions.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and approvals with consultants and relevant authorities.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and resources required for electrical works.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, progress, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with civil and other discipline teams to ensure smooth and timely execution of project activities.
• Support the preparation of as-built drawings, testing records, handover documents, and project close-out documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Attend project coordination and progress meetings as required.
• Report project progress, technical issues, delays, and resource requirements to the Project Manager.
• Provide technical guidance and support to electrical supervisors, technicians, and site personnel.
