On-Site Quality Technician: Concrete & Materials Testing

Job summary

INTERMASS ENG. & CONT. CO. LLC is seeking a Quality specialist to work on site in Sharjah, conducting on-site testing of concrete (FDT, PLT, etc.) and other materials in coordination with approved third‑party laboratories.

You will coordinate test reports, prepare MIRs, schedule inspections, witness testing with the Consultant Inspector, manage samples and storage, and ensure compliant documentation and timely submission for consultant review. 2–5 years of construction experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in the field of construction.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Quality department on site, performing onsite testing of concrete (FDT, PLT, etc.) and other materials, in coordination with approved third‑party laboratories.
• Coordinate follow‑up, tracking, receiving, verification, registration, and submission of test reports to the consultant in coordination with the Project Quality Manager; prepare MIRs and coordinate with the consultant to obtain approvals.
• Undertake on‑site testing of fresh concrete and sampling as per project requirements and approved MSRA/ITPs; plan and schedule testing for completed works in collaboration with Quality Engineers, Site Engineers, and the Quality Manager.
• Coordinate with the Consultant Inspector for witnessing of all on‑site testing.
• Ensure concrete cube samples are transported timely to the third‑party laboratory; follow up with the laboratory for pending test reports.
• Monitor the materials testing tracker and test reports to ensure receipt and proper logging in accordance with project and standard requirements; verify reports received.
• Conduct material inspections and raise MIRs to the Consultant; attend inspections as required.
• Monitor storage of materials on‑site and in storage areas to ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements.
• Prepare test report submittals for all test reports in coordination with the Quality Manager for consultant review and approval.
• Address any failures or nonconformities in test reports in collaboration with the Project Quality Manager.
