Job summary

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in relevant field or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a crisis and emergency-related field, preferably in a similar industry.

Responsibilities

• Implements and executes OSR and Hazmat emergency response plans to enable seamless response with minimal impact.
• Mobilizes, deploys and operates OSR/Hazmat equipment on-shore and off-shore as appropriate by experience and training.
• Participates in the Survey Team to confirm incidents and report findings for informed management decisions.
• Prepares the emergency site for removal and disposal of oil spill/hazmat materials, including containment measures.
• Collects, tests, stores, transports and disposes of hazardous and non-hazardous materials per policy and law.
• Ensures familiarity and readiness of all deployment and operating equipment; maintains and rehabilitates OSR/Hazmat gear after operations.
• Verifies equipment labelling and maintains optimal functionality; supports periodic reviews with Safety and Maintenance staff.
• Assists in development of emergency reports to ensure accurate incident documentation.
• Remains on-call per duty roster to respond promptly to emergencies.
